Erick is working on his first collection, a chapbook to be titled Augur Lake. Augur Lake, 44.4588° N by 73.5003° W, is a place where natural and possibly supernatural forces play upon the destinies of humans, foster growth and cement new understandings of kinship and family. It’s a place of transformation, not unlike the forest of Arden, a portal between present, past and future, where youth and old age revitalize and reinvent each other.

Erick’s chapbook is an errant “project,” the fruit of seeds of wandering and chance, of insights that sometimes evolve through slow, molecular growth and sometimes through sudden epiphanies that wear wildness on their hems and trauma on the fringes.
